We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the Engineering industry. This position offers an incredible opportunity to work with a team of professionals in a role that offers a high degree of responsibility and influence. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. This is a high-visibility role that will interact with senior management and will have a direct impact on our financial and operational strategy.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller with a minimum of 10 years in accounting and finance.
2. 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
3. Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Experience with creating financial statements.
6. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills, including proficiency with ERP systems.
8. Strong understanding of job-cost accounting.
9. Solid understanding of local tax regulations.
10. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
13. Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
14. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
15. Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments.
