Our company is seeking a seasoned and highly analytical Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, leadership, debit and credits, closing monthly books, financial reporting, financial auditing, internal controls, financial analysis, and budgeting. As a Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's financial and accounting functions, including regulatory compliance and financial reporting. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including the design of an organizational structure suitable for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate, administer, and control financial operations including the company's budget, expense, cost, and accounting controls.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results for each department.
  • Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
  • Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
  • Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
  • Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
  • Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s Degree or CPA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise in financial management, leadership, debit and credits, closing monthly books, financial reporting, financial auditing, internal controls, financial analysis, and budgeting.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
