Job Details
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to lead the financial operations of our restaurant group. This role is ideal for someone with experience in hospitality, restaurants, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or retail. The Controller will oversee all accounting functions, drive financial planning, and provide actionable insights that support both operational and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full-cycle accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end/year-end close
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for multiple brands
Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making and growth strategies
Implement and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the accounting team
Collaborate closely with operational leadership to drive financial performance, identify opportunities for cost savings, and improve efficiency across brands
Assist in strategic initiatives, including capital planning, new concept launches, and expansion opportunities
Serve as a key financial advisor to the executive team, providing actionable insights and recommendations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in hospitality, restaurant, retail, or CPG
Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, reporting standards, and internal controls
Proven experience managing multi-unit or multi-brand financial operations
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor a high-performing team
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
