Job Details
We are seeking a Controller with a solid background in the construction industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with WIP reporting in the Construction industry, to go along with leadership skills.

- Own the preparation of recurring financial reports and support periodic tax filings and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activity including ledger maintenance, collections tracking, and outgoing payments.
- Partner cross-functionally to track project-based financials and support close cycles with accurate cost and revenue recognition.
- Lead the close process end-to-end, ensuring alignment with standard accounting practices and internal governance.
- Act as a point of contact for audit-related requests and documentation.
- Manage and mentor a small team, providing guidance, oversight, and performance feedback.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule, including related reporting.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts, identifying trends and explaining financial performance to stakeholders.
- Support ad hoc financial and operational initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Several years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including some level of team leadership.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience with WIP reporting in the construction industry is required.
- Strong Excel capabilities and comfort working within accounting/ERP systems.
- Exposure to mid-market accounting platforms or similar tools is a plus.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus, not a requirement.
- Some initial regional travel will be required on a monthly basis.
