We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team in the automotive industry. This role requires expertise in PLC programming, Allen Bradley, and VFD technologies. Responsibilities:

• Design and develop control systems for our manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to meet specific project requirements.
• Utilize Allen Bradley systems to develop and implement control strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems into existing manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of control systems to ensure proper functionality and reliability.
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams for troubleshooting and resolving control system issues.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in control system technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve our processes.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure successful implementation of control systems.
• Document control system designs, specifications, and procedures for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in controls engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry. (will consider long term internship experience)
• Strong expertise in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in working with Allen Bradley systems.
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and their integration into control systems.
• Solid understanding of electrical and control system design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex control system issues.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of control system projects.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to control systems.
