We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will play a critical part in developing and maintaining the controls systems that drive our innovative engineering solutions. You will be working on varied projects, ranging from small-scale system improvements to large-scale system designs and implementations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in controls engineering, with a focus on AutoCAD Electrical, PLC programming, HMI, and Drives. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly skilled team of professionals in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop control systems using AutoCAD Electrical.
2. Program PLCs to control machinery and processes, ensuring optimal efficiency and safety.
3. Develop and maintain HMI systems to provide intuitive and effective operator interfaces.
4. Design and implement Drive systems for motor control applications.
5. Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop appropriate controls solutions.
6. Provide hands-on support for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of controls systems.
7. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, test procedures, and user manuals.
8. Keep up to date with the latest developments in controls engineering and integrate them into our systems where appropriate.
9. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on controls engineering.
3. In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, PLC programming, HMI, and Drives.
4. Proven hands-on experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of controls systems.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and identify and implement effective solutions.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
7. A proactive approach, with the ability to take the initiative and work independently when required.
8. High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
9. Good project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
