Join a leading Montana-based Building Automation firm providing turnkey building management and system integration services across the state. We’re seeking an experienced Controls Installation Manager to lead field operations and drive excellence in BAS/HVAC controls installation across diverse commercial and institutional projects.

Location: Great Falls, Helena, or Bozeman, MT

What You’ll Do: As the Controls Installation Manager, you’ll be the field leader responsible for managing our installation crews and ensuring our projects are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule. You’ll serve as the bridge between the field and the office—working closely with project managers, engineers, and customers to bring intelligent buildings to life.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Team
o Supervise, support, and coach BAS Installers
o Enforce safety standards and maintain job site quality
o Provide training and mentorship to grow the next generation of controls talent
  • Oversee Field Execution
o Manage installation schedules and resource allocation
o Ensure adherence to system designs and control schematics
o Partner with PMs and Commissioning teams for smooth project turnover
  • Plan Resources & Forecast Labor
o Assign manpower based on upcoming projects and timelines
o Coordinate tools and equipment needs in advance
  • Maintain Installation Quality
o Conduct regular jobsite inspections
o Troubleshoot field issues and coordinate resolutions
  • Own On-Site Communication
o Act as the point person for contractors, subs, and clients
o Address questions, track progress, and resolve conflicts quickly
  • Document and Report
o Keep daily job logs, track field activity, and maintain milestone updates
o Share field performance insights with leadership

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in BAS/HVAC controls installation, with at least 2 years leading teams
  • Hands-on experience with systems like Siemens, Honeywell, Tridium, Johnson Controls, or similar
  • Strong grasp of HVAC/mechanical systems, electrical wiring practices, and reading control diagrams
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
