Responsibilities:
What you need for this position:
- Design and develop control programs, system databases, and graphical interfaces for building automation systems (BAS).
- Conduct comprehensive testing of control programs to ensure they meet system requirements and performance standards.
- Create and maintain documentation to verify system compliance with design specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and drafting teams to produce control system drawings.
- Provide detailed test documentation and system reports to clients for review.
- Identify and resolve potential project challenges, ensuring smooth project delivery.
- Coordinate with installation teams or subcontractors to ensure seamless system installation and optimal value.
- Support ongoing service operations and engineering for existing building systems to maintain performance and reliability.
What you need for this position:
- High school diploma required; associate's degree in electronics or related technical field preferred.
- Proven experience with BAS programming and control systems such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Tridium is a plus.
- Strong technical skills in configuring, troubleshooting, and debugging BAS programs and systems.
- Proficiency in using electrical measurement tools such as volt meters, oscilloscopes, and amp meters.
- Familiarity with AC power circuits, including multi-phase power, breakers, and 120VAC systems.
- Clear ability to interpret electrical and electronic diagrams for system troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation and collaboration.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in construction environments.
