We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Systems Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex control systems for a wide range of clients in various industries. You will work closely with our engineering team and clients to ensure that all control systems are designed and installed to meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
The Controls Systems Designer will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
1. Designing, developing, and implementing complex control systems in line with client specifications and industry best practices.
2. Utilizing AutoCAD to create detailed design plans for control systems, including wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and system schematics.
3. Ensuring all control systems are designed and installed in compliance with NFPA 70 standards.
4. Designing and implementing low voltage control systems, including hardware selection, programming, and testing.
5. Designing control panels and selecting appropriate hardware to meet client needs and project specifications.
6. Collaborating with the engineering team and clients to identify control system requirements and develop innovative solutions.
7. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with control systems, including hardware and software problems.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure that all control systems are cutting-edge and compliant.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems design, including experience with AutoCAD, NFPA 70, low voltage systems, hardware selection, and control panel design.
3. Strong knowledge of control systems, including hardware, software, and programming.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
6. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in all work.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
