Job Details:
We are searching for a skilled Permanent Sports Medicine Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment providing therapeutic assistance to patients with sports-related injuries or conditions. You will work directly under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in the implementation of treatment plans and programs to help patients regain movement and manage pain. This role requires a passion for sports medicine, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to thrive in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Physical Therapist in the evaluation process, including initial patient assessments and development of treatment plans.
2. Implement selected components of patient treatment, intervention, and education, as directed by the Physical Therapist.
3. Monitor patient's response to intervention and report outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
4. Document patient progress and update treatment plans as necessary.
5. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies, ensuring they understand the purpose and benefits of the therapy.
6. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
7. Participate in ongoing educational activities and professional development to stay current with the latest trends and advancements in sports medicine physical therapy.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:
1. Associate degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
2. Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility in the state of employment.
3. Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in a sports medicine setting.
4. Knowledge of sports medicine, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
6. Ability to handle a high caseload and deliver high-quality care under pressure.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess patients' needs and develop effective treatment plans.
8. Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation.
9. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
10. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
