Job Details

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its dynamic Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice. This role will focus primarily on private M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side deals involving growth-stage and closely held companies. While experience working with venture-backed businesses is preferred, it is not required — the team is open to training the right candidate on the nuances of representing startups and investors in these contexts.

Ideal candidates will have:

3–6 years of experience leading private M&A transactions, including structuring, negotiation, and deal execution

A strong foundation in corporate transactional work and familiarity with the full deal lifecycle

Experience managing transaction workstreams and mentoring junior team members

A collaborative approach and interest in working with innovative companies and investors in the startup ecosystem
