Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Attorney specializing in Contracts and Procurement to join our dynamic legal team. This is a permanent position in the Manufacturing aviation industry where you will play a crucial role in managing and negotiating various commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with federal procurement regulations, and overseeing contract lifecycle management. As a Corporate Attorney, you will provide strategic legal counsel and support to our business units, focusing on supplier contracting processes and general corporate law matters.

Responsibilities:
1. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including procurement, supply chain, service, confidentiality, and other business agreements.
2. Advise on legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, approval processes, company policies and procedures, IP, and negotiation strategy.
3. Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initial drafting and negotiation through to execution and post-contractual obligations.
4. Ensure compliance with federal procurement regulations and other applicable laws and regulations.
5. Develop and implement strategies for the supplier contracting process, including risk management and cost-efficiency strategies.
6. Provide legal and strategic business advice to help advance the company's business objectives.
7. Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure contracts accurately reflect commercial terms and comply with company policies and risk tolerance.
8. Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's contractual and procurement processes.

Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota.
3. A minimum of 3 years of legal experience with a strong focus on contracts, negotiation, and drafting for various types of commercial contracts.
4. Strong understanding of contract law, contracting business terms, and general corporate law.
5. Knowledge of federal procurement regulations and experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM).
6. Proven experience in managing the strategy for the supplier contracting process.
7. Exceptional negotiation skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex legal concepts to a variety of audiences.
9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical judgment.
