We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Corporate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of transactions, negotiating and drafting complex contracts, and providing legal advice to our corporate team. This position requires a deep understanding of property and casualty insurance, along with a strong commitment to ethics, integrity, and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, with an emphasis on insurance matters.
Responsibilities:
1. Draft, review, and negotiate complex insurance contracts and agreements, NDAs, service agreements, ensuring they comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
2. Advise business units to align contracts with business objectives and risk tolerance.
3. Ensure contract compliance and provide legal advice on operations and regulatory matters.
4. Stay abreast of developments in corporate law and the property and casualty insurance industry to ensure the company's ongoing compliance.
5. Develop and deliver training to the company on legal matters related to property and casualty insurance.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, specifically within the property and casualty insurance sector, insurance brokerage or carrier.
3. Admission to the state bar.
4. Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents and contracts.
5. In-depth understanding of corporate law and insurance regulations.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, understandable language.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound legal judgments.
8. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
9. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
