Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Corporate Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing all aspects of B2B collections, ensuring prompt and accurate payment from clients.
2. Applying cash applications and managing aging reports to keep track of outstanding invoices.
3. Conducting account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records and identify any discrepancies.
4. Handling deductions and shortages, investigating the cause, and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
5. Processing claims related to inventory shortages and other financial issues.
6. Performing soft collections, communicating with clients in a professional and respectful manner to resolve payment issues.
7. Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
8. Providing expert advice and consultation on corporate collections strategies and best practices.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Corporate Collections Specialist position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate collections, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proven expertise in B2B collections, cash applications, and managing aging reports.
3. Strong skills in account reconciliations and handling deductions and shortages.
4. Experience in processing claims and performing soft collections.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
7. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Proficiency in using financial software and other relevant computer applications.
9. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
