Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations & Close
Lead the monthly close process, including revenue, payroll, and expense accruals.
Review and ensure accuracy of expenses; prepare adjusting journal entries as needed.
Oversee cash reconciliations, compliance filings (sales tax, annual registrations), and doctor/location-level reporting.
Drive improvements in balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity.
Systems & Process Management
Maintain and enhance accounting operations within NetSuite (or similar ERP such as Sage Intacct).
Oversee accounts payable and procurement workflows, including weekly payment runs (Stampli).
Implement scalable best practices, focusing on automation and lean operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with the VP of Finance on cash flow forecasting and strategic planning.
Act as a key resource for doctors, practice managers, People team, and executive leadership.
Deliver timely, accurate financial data to support decision-making across the organization.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor two Senior Accountants.
Provide oversight of AP/procurement to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments and purchasing processes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller, ideally in healthcare, multi-location services, or a similar industry.
Strong ERP experience (NetSuite preferred; Sage Intacct or similar acceptable).
Familiarity with AP systems (Stampli experience a plus).
Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to dig into operational details and resolve historical accounting issues.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, HR, and executive teams.
CPA designation preferred, but not required.
Experience with reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
