Job Details:
Our company is looking for an experienced and dynamic Corporate Controller to join our team. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of our company's financial operations, from financial reporting and cash accounting to treasury, internal controls, compliance, and operational accounting. The successful candidate will be a strategic individual with 5+ years of managerial accounting and financial management experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards.
2. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.
3. Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
4. Coordinate and prepare financial statements.
5. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
6. Collaborate with external auditors and HR to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
7. Interacts with and provides financial reports to executive leadership.
8. Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance.
9. Work closely with the CEO to analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
10. Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
11. Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of five years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, ideally in the multi-entity hospitality industry.
3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
5. Experience in a supervisory role with a track record of leadership and team development.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Thorough understanding of business principles and practices; superior attention to detail; organizational skills; and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency in accounting software.
9. Strong analytical skills to assess data, facts and figures used to develop strategies designed to improve the business.
10. Ability to work with a diverse group of people and to instill a cooperative work environment.
