We're seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Corporate Controller to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in our Energy industry, overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. Job Details

As a Corporate Controller, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Maintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, program budgets, and actual expenditures.
3. Coordinating all audit activity and managing relationships with external auditors.
4. Consistently analyzing financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitoring progress and changes and keeping senior leadership abreast of the organization’s financial status.
5. Assisting the organization's leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administering and reviewing all financial plans and comparing to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
6. Supporting the leadership in engaging the board’s audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
7. Overseeing all financial, project/program, and grants accounting; ensuring that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period.
8. Leading the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the organization's financial reporting and analysis.
9. Managing job cost analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA, CPA, or related qualification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the Energy industry.
3. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Hands-on experience with financial and accounting software.
5. Proven experience in process improvement, external audit, financial shared services, and job cost.
6. Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
7. Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead a team to meet organizational goals.
8. Superior written and verbal communication skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
9. Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
