As a Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company, including strategic planning, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow analysis, and compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical skills, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.
- Develop and implement financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans.
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report and forecast future revenue and expenses.
- Ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
- Oversee the company's transaction processing systems and implement operational best practices.
- Supervise the accounting department to ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports such as internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company.
- Conduct and oversee the cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
- Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and corporate/overhead cost allocation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, cash flow analysis, and forecasting.
- Experience with ledger and payroll systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
- Experience in a leadership role with both strategic and operational responsibilities.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with financial software.
