Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Own and lead all cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual cost and performance reports with meaningful insights
Analyze manufacturing costs including labor, overhead, and materials to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Perform detailed variance analysis and provide clear, actionable recommendations to leadership
Maintain, update, and validate standard costs within the ERP system
Support month-end and year-end close activities, including inventory and cost of goods sold reporting
Perform general ledger accounting responsibilities and account reconciliations as part of monthly close
Lead cycle count analysis and support inventory accuracy initiatives
Develop and strengthen internal controls related to inventory and cost accounting processes
Support internal and external audits through documentation, analysis, and process ownership
Contribute to product pricing analysis and ongoing pricing strategy updates
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive cost accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong understanding of GAAP and core cost accounting principles
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving ability
Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across departments
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
Exposure to standard costing and lean manufacturing environments
Understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes
Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, or BI systems
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process efficiency and accuracy

This role offers high visibility across the organization and frequent collaboration with manufacturing, operations, and finance teams. You will have the opportunity to directly influence cost efficiency, product profitability, and overall business performance in a dynamic production environment.
