We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Cost Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This role will offer you the chance to utilize your financial expertise and analytical skills to improve our financial operations. You'll play a pivotal role in analyzing manufacturing costs, compiling cost reports, and implementing cost standards for materials and labor. Your insights and recommendations will directly influence our strategic decisions and financial planning. Responsibilities:

1. Implement cost accounting systems and procedures to accurately reflect the financial status of the business.
2. Analyze and monitor raw material inventory, finished goods, and work-in-progress to ensure accurate cost reporting.
3. Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
4. Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings by studying production processes, changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided.
5. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts by customer.
6. Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
7. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, as well as the development of financial controls.
8. Coordinate with the finance team to complete required tax reporting in a timely manner.
9. Prepare and present expense reports, financial analysis, and other relevant financial data to management for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial analysis, and reporting of financial data.
5. Experience with inventory management, product costing, budgeting, and expense reporting.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial colleagues.
8. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
