Cost Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, GAAP accounting principles, and experience with audits, cost reviews, and budget creation. Responsibilities:

• Manage the cost accounting system and ensure accurate and timely reporting of all cost-related data
• Conduct regular cost reviews and identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
• Create and maintain bill of materials for all products manufactured by the company
• Manage inventory accounting and ensure accurate recording of all inventory transactions
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and provide recommendations for improvement
• Work closely with the production team to ensure accurate reporting of production costs and variances
• Create and manage budgets for all manufacturing operations
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with GAAP accounting principles
• Use MAPICS, Quickbooks, SAGE, and SAP to manage financial data and generate reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience in cost accounting in the Manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Experience with audits and cost reviews
• Ability to create and manage budgets
• Experience with bill of materials and inventory accounting
• Knowledge of MAPICS, Quickbooks, SAGE, and SAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
