Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Cost accounting, including procurement, grant management, GAAP compliance, and inventory tracking.
2. Apply uniform grant guidance principles in managing federal grants to ensure compliance with all regulations and requirements.
3. Provide expert advice and consultation on financial matters related to the construction industry.
4. Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate and timely financial reports or statements.
5. Coordinate and complete annual audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements.
6. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
7. Develop and implement strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes and systems.
8. Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
9. Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities.
10. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and legal standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA will be considered an advantage.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant or similar role in the Accounting + Finance industry.
3. Comprehensive understanding and experience with procurement, uniform grant guidance, GAAP, federal grants, the construction industry, and inventory tracking.
4. Proficient in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
5. Strong attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors.
6. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Up-to-date with financial policies, regulation, and legislation.
9. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
10. Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
