Job Details
Responsibilities
1. Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing budget costs to actual production costs.
2. Conduct cost analysis on financial programs and operations.
3. Determine and implement cost accounting procedures and methods.
4. Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
5. Review and reconcile inventory and margin reports.
6. Investigate and report to the Manager any inconsistencies or improprieties.
7. Analyze audits of costs and prepare reports.
8. Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
9. Conduct research and perform analytical studies in regard to cost analyses and profitability.
10. Work in a focused manner to meet department goals and deadlines.
11. Collaborate with different departments to gather and analyze financial information.
12. Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
3. Excellent understanding of cost accounting principles.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
5. Experience with ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
9. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives/key deadlines.
11. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
12. Proactive, self-driven individual with a high level of professional integrity.
13. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
