Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Cost Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that could impact the organization's financial health.
2. Developing and maintaining cost standards and inventory valuation models.
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
4. Participating in the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
5. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
6. Providing financial expertise in the evaluation of new business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
7. Evaluating the effectiveness of demand planning and inventory management strategies and recommending improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Cost Analyst role will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or a related role in the Accounting + Finance industry.
3. Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and analysis, with a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
4. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
5. Experience with Demand Planning and understanding of its impact on financial performance.
6. Strong analytical skills, with an ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable information.
7. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
8. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
