We are in search of a motivated and skilled Permanent Cost Segregation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing IRS compliant reports, leading and conducting site inspections, analyzing architectural drawings and construction costs, and developing engineering-based cost estimates. The role will also involve coordinating with clients, CPAs, and internal project managers to ensure timely and accurate project completion. Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare IRS compliant reports and review detailed workpapers and client deliverables.
2. Lead and perform site inspections for commercial and residential properties to gather field data and verify assets.
3. Analyze architectural drawings, construction costs, general ledgers, and contractor data to identify short-life property components.
4. Develop engineering-based cost estimates and asset classifications in compliance with IRS MACRS and tax regulations.
5. Serve as a technical resource to internal teams and mentor junior engineers.
6. Coordinate with clients, CPAs, and internal project managers to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
7. Support audit defense documentation and provide expert input during client tax reviews or IRS examinations.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Accounting and Finance industry.
3. Proven experience in preparing IRS compliant reports and conducting site inspections.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze architectural drawings, construction costs, and contractor data.
5. Solid understanding of IRS MACRS and tax regulations.
6. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with clients, CPAs, and internal project managers.
7. Experience in supporting audit defense documentation and providing expert input during client tax reviews or IRS examinations.
8. Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
9. Proficient in using accounting and financial software.
10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
