The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers, monitoring existing clients, performing risk assessments, writing detailed reports, and making informed decisions while extending credit. 1. Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess a client's creditworthiness, including interpreting cash flow, balance sheets, and income statements.
2. Monitor and manage existing client accounts to identify any changes in payment patterns and initiate appropriate action.
3. Implement process improvement strategies to streamline credit analysis and approval procedures.
4. Prepare detailed risk reports, including recommendations for credit limits based on the client's risk profiles.
5. Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve credit issues.
6. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as necessary to support business decisions.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of economic trends, industry news, and regulatory changes that may impact credit risk.
8. Manage DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) to ensure the company's cash flow is optimized.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role.
3. Strong understanding of financial statements and ratios, credit reports, and industry-specific software.
4. Proficient in DSO management and process improvement strategies.
5. Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
6. Excellent communication and report writing skills, with the ability to clearly explain credit decisions to stakeholders.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
8. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
9. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
