Criminal Attorney (SDNY/EDNY/DOJ)

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Criminal Attorney to join our team. This is a permanent position where you will be working closely with the Department of Justice and will be responsible for cases in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York - in addition to other cases. As a Criminal Attorney, you will be at the forefront of high-stakes litigation, dealing with complex criminal cases that demand the utmost professionalism, competence, and dedication. With your expertise and commitment, you will be a crucial part of our team, upholding justice and ensuring the rights of our clients are protected.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, handling all stages of criminal proceedings, from investigation to trial and appeal.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies.
• Negotiate plea agreements with the Department of Justice.
• Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and options.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times.
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
• Stay updated on the latest laws, regulations, and trends in criminal law.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the New York State Bar.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Criminal Attorney or Associate Attorney.
• Proven trial experience is a must.
• Familiarity with the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Department of Justice.
• Exceptional research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong ethical and professional standards.
• Demonstrated commitment to serving justice and protecting client rights.
