Job Details

COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST
*FULL-TIME, EVENINGS*


Responsibilities:

1. Performing high-quality diagnostic CT procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
2. Operating and maintaining CT equipment effectively, following all safety protocols.
3. Collaborating with radiologists to plan and execute imaging procedures.
4. Preparing patients for CT scans by explaining the process, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
5. Administering contrast media or medications as prescribed by the physician.
6. Reviewing and evaluating completed scans for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered; ensuring quality images.
7. Documenting patient history and maintaining records as per departmental protocols.
8. Participating in departmental quality improvement initiatives and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of CT technology and practices.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Tech, preferably in a hospital setting.
2. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT).
3. Demonstrated knowledge of CT procedures, safety protocols, and patient care.
4. Ability to operate and troubleshoot CT equipment effectively.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients clearly and compassionately.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality, precise diagnostic images.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
8. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist patients as needed.
9. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
10. Flexibility to work evening shifts and weekends as required.
