Preferred Certifications:
- Maintain 100% uptime of critical systems
- Train to serve as a First Responder to critical infrastructure alarms
- Accurately and promptly complete work orders
- Handle tools and equipment with precision and care
- Adhere to all company Safety Policies and Procedures
- Work with vendors/contractors to ensure compliance with Switch standards
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions
- Perform collateral duties and tasks as assigned by management
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Additional tasks as assigned
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in the general field as a full-time employee
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment, including:
- Electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, DC power, ATS/STS, PDUs, breakers, batteries, load bank connections
- CRACs, AHUs, fluid coolers, pumps, cages, fire suppression systems
- Knowledge of data center safety, electrical, and cooling designs
- Ability to work any shift in a 24x7x365 operation (including weekends/holidays)
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic typing, email, and computer proficiency

- Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Education & Certifications
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical Trade School in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics preferred
Preferred Certifications:
- Outlook Fundamentals
- OSHA 10
- Material Equipment Operator (MEO)
- First Aid/CPR
- NFPA-70E (Arc Flash)
- Golf Cart Safety
- Data Center University
