Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development.
2. Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and outside sources; as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked.
3. Collaborate with data architects, modelers and IT team members on project goals.
4. Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets.
5. Employ a variety of languages and tools to marry systems together or try to hunt down opportunities to acquire new data from other systems.
6. Develop and implement data standards, ensuring data quality and consistency.
7. Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies.
8. Present information using data visualization techniques through Tableau and PowerBI.
9. Work closely with team members, clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered timely and accurately.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a data engineering role with a proven record of successful data manipulation.
3. Proficiency with ETL tools, SSIS, and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
4. Knowledge and experience in data modeling.
5. Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau, PowerBI or similar.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
8. Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds.
9. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
10. A strong desire to learn and develop new skills, staying up to date with the latest data best practices and technologies.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
