Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer who will be responsible for developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining architectures such as large-scale data processing systems and databases. This position will be at the forefront of an exciting, fast-paced environment, dealing with complex systems and challenges. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our data systems and building them from the ground up, working closely with data analysts, architects, and other teams to support business requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
2. Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
3. Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
4. Write complex queries on large data sets and develop scripts to process data on a big data platform.
5. Design and implement data tools for analytics and data scientist team members to help them in building, optimizing, and tuning our product.
6. Participate in all aspects of the agile product development life cycle from design to delivery.
7. Work closely with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
3. Advanced working knowledge and experience working with Python, PySpark, Microsoft Fabric/Snowflake/Databricks, and PowerBI.
4. Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets and building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
5. Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable data stores.
6. Strong project management and organizational skills.
7. Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data matters to non-technical individuals.
