Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:

Responsible for installation and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and control components on plant equipment and DCS controls system.
Inspect existing panels to insure proper function and configuration.
Responsible for field instrument calibration.
Apply advanced analytical skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently.
Display a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations in carrying out work.
Report on time spent, work carried out, materials used and any further action required for each job undertaken in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.
Maintain inventory records for parts used on equipment installations and repairs.
Maintains good housekeeping at work site and ensures that maintenance tools and equipment are kept in good, safe operating condition.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Ideally be a current resident or incoming resident of the Charleston, SC area with a High School education or equivalency & a minimum of 7 years industrial maintenance or military experience, ideally within a chemical process environment.
Stable employment history. Must be able to pass Company physical and pre and post-employment drug testing.
Ability to work weekends and overtime. Work schedule is straight days with required weekend on call duties.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and ability to learn in house software systems related to the maintenance process. Demonstrated solid skills in math and reading
Ability to safely operate forklifts and other industrial equipment, climb stairs repeatedly, lift 55 lbs. containers and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Provides quality repairs, as designed by standards, at a cost consistent with standard and at the proper time to minimize down time.
Safety Performance
Cross training in all areas of electrical, reacting to changes in production equipment, reducing cost and covering multiple disciplines at one time.
Continuous observation of equipment is essential to maintain quality, safety and cost effective manufacturing.
