We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Permanent Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic privately owned practice. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dental care to our patients. You will be responsible for performing a variety of dental hygiene procedures to promote oral health, prevent disease, and maintain healthy teeth and gums. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough oral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance procedures
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide oral health instruction
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
- Assist the dentist with dental procedures as needed
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Continuously stay up-to-date with the latest developments in dental hygiene and attend continuing education courses as required
Qualifications:
- Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensure
- Injection certified- preferred not required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a dental hygienist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Knowledge of dental software and technology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
