Responsibilities:
As a Dental Lab Technician, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Fabricating and repairing dental devices such as dentures, bridges, crowns, and orthodontic appliances.
2. Collaborating with dentists to plan, design, and fabricate dental prostheses for individual patients.
3. Using specialized tools and equipment, including CAD/CAM technology, to create dental prosthetics.
4. Conducting quality control procedures, ensuring all products meet the required standards and specifications.
5. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of lab procedures and patient records.
6. Managing inventory of lab materials and equipment, ensuring all are in good working order and reporting any issues to the appropriate party.
7. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies to ensure the highest quality of dental care.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Lab Technician or a similar role in a dental laboratory.
2. A diploma or degree in Dental Technology or related field.
3. Proficient knowledge of dental lab procedures, materials, and equipment.
4. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
6. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
7. Proficiency in using computer software and digital technology in a dental lab setting.
8. Commitment to adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
9. Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to stay current in the field.
