Job Details
What You'll Do:
1. Collaborate with the development and operations teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.
2. Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS.
3. Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code deployments using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Kubernetes (K8).
4. Manage CI/CD pipelines and coordinate code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes.
5. Work on improving the system design through the active role in scaling, reliability, and security discussions.
6. Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
7. Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.
8. Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
3. Proficient with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes (K8), and AWS CloudFormation.
4. Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
5. Strong command of software-automation production systems.
6. Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
9. Strong organizational and project management skills.
10. Knowledge of scientific industry-specific software is a plus.
