We are seeking a Consulting DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in the Scientific industry. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in DevOps, DevSecOps, and Cloud Security. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing secure, scalable, and highly available systems on-premises and in the cloud. You will work closely with a team of software developers, system administrators, and security experts to design, deploy, and maintain the next generation of our scientific applications and infrastructure. Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available systems using Docker, Kubernetes, and Openshift.
2. Develop and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support agile software development.
3. Implement and manage cloud security strategies, including access controls, network security, encryption, and incident response.
4. Collaborate with software developers to ensure secure coding practices are followed and perform security code reviews.
5. Use Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to ensure system uptime and performance.
6. Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using CloudFormation and Ansible.
7. Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems for system and application health.
8. Conduct system performance tuning and capacity planning.
9. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
10. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevSecOps.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or a related role.
3. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Openshift.
4. Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls in a cloud environment.
5. Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
6. Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools like CloudFormation and Ansible.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
9. Certifications in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Cloud Security are a plus.
