We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance to support our sales team in delivering top-notch services to our clients. You will be primarily responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy-duty diesel engines. This role is ideal for a candidate who has a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines, such as checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and performing oil changes.
2. Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, using diagnostic software and manual troubleshooting techniques.
3. Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines to identify any potential issues and prevent future breakdowns.
4. Provide technical support and advice to our sales team, helping them understand the features and benefits of our diesel-powered products.
5. Maintain accurate records of each service performed, documenting all parts used and the time spent on each task.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in diesel engine technology, attending training courses and workshops as necessary.
7. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, specifically working with heavy equipment.
2. In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues accurately and efficiently.
3. Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
4. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong dedication to quality.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical team members and clients.
6. A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
7. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a degree in diesel engine repair or a related field is preferred.
8. Certifications from recognized institutions in diesel engine repair or related disciplines will be an added advantage.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
10. Physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
