If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Permanent Dimensional Inspector to join our dynamic team. This is a pivotal role that ensures the highest standards of quality and accuracy in our manufacturing process. As a Dimensional Inspector, you will be working with cutting-edge technology in the aerospace industry, performing dimensional inspections on a variety of components and assemblies.
Responsibilities:
1. Performing complex dimensional inspections of aerospace components and assemblies using precision measuring instruments and equipment.
2. Interpreting and working from engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, formulas, and technical manuals.
3. Ensuring compliance with all relevant quality standards and specifications.
4. Documenting inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database.
5. Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
6. Collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during the inspection process.
7. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency in the inspection process.
8. Providing technical guidance to less experienced inspectors and other manufacturing personnel.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection within the aerospace industry.
2. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
3. Strong knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
4. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of manual dexterity.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
8. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
9. A technical degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
