A global communications and advisory organization is seeking a Director, Business Intelligence – Data & Insights to lead reputation, issues monitoring, crisis intelligence, and media analytics programs supporting high-visibility enterprise clients.
This role sits at the intersection of data analytics, communications strategy, and risk intelligence, translating complex media, stakeholder, and digital signals into actionable insights that guide executive decision-making during critical moments.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical analytics expertise with experience supporting issues management, crisis response environments, and narrative intelligence programs.

What Success Looks Like
Experience That Contributes to Success
- Lead end-to-end delivery of issues, crisis, and reputation intelligence programs
- Design and oversee media monitoring frameworks across earned, social, and digital channels
- Translate complex narrative and data signals into clear executive-level insights
- Develop early-warning detection models identifying escalation risks and emerging trends
- Build and maintain near–real-time intelligence dashboards for leadership stakeholders
- Support scenario planning, live response monitoring, and post-incident analysis
- Integrate qualitative and quantitative insights into strategic recommendations
- Ensure analytical rigor, governance standards, and data quality across reporting workflows
- Mentor and develop analytics and insights team members
- Support responsible adoption of AI within monitoring, detection, and reporting pipelines 🤖

Experience That Contributes to Success
- 7+ years in business intelligence, analytics, media intelligence, or reputation analytics environments
- 2+ years leading analytics programs or teams
- Experience supporting issues management, crisis communications, or reputation strategy initiatives
- Background working in communications, consulting, or client-facing analytics organizations
- Strong narrative analysis and media monitoring experience
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, or R
- Experience building dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools
- Ability to advise senior stakeholders in fast-moving environments
- Exposure to AI-enabled monitoring, classification, or trend-detection workflows
- Familiarity working across global media ecosystems 🌍
- Degree in analytics, communications, data science, or related discipline preferred
