A bit about us:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced FSQA Director to join our growing team. This is a critical role for the business, offering a unique opportunity to take charge of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our FSQA programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing third-party auditing schemes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
This individual can choose to work out of any of the plant locations with a requirement of 25% travel. Relocation assistance is available.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain FSQA programs and policies in line with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
2. Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and other regulatory bodies.
3. Oversee and manage third-party auditing schemes to maintain and improve the quality and safety standards of our operations.
4. Lead and manage the FSQA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
5. Conduct regular reviews and audits of FSQA systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
6. Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry associations, maintaining strong professional relationships and staying abreast of changes in regulations and industry standards.
7. Provide training and support to staff on FSQA standards and processes, promoting a culture of quality and safety across the organization.
8. Handle any FSQA-related issues or crises, working closely with other departments to ensure a coordinated and effective response.
9. Provide regular reports to senior management on FSQA performance, issues, and initiatives.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. SQF Practitioner certification is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a FSQA leadership role.
4. Extensive knowledge of USDA, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
5. Proven experience in managing third-party auditing schemes.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
9. Ability to work under pressure and handle crises effectively.
10. Proficient in the use of FSQA-related software and systems.
11. A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
12. Ability to travel as needed.
