Our client is seeking an Accounting Leader to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in line with the company's business goals and industry regulations.
  • Manage the company's fixed assets, including recording acquisitions and dispositions, calculating depreciation, and conducting periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the senior management team, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and managing the preparation of necessary documents and reports.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Mentor and develop the accounting team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and building of an effective team dynamic.

Job Details

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting leadership role, preferably within the Accounting + Finance industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing fixed assets.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to a variety of audiences.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.
