Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls for the construction industry.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, vendors, and customers.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA designation required.
- 15+ years of experience in a Director of Accounting role.
- Experience working in the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound business decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
