Job Details

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls for the construction industry.
Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to management, including budgeting and forecasting.
Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, vendors, and customers.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA designation required.
15+ years of experience in a Director of Accounting role.
Experience working in the construction industry is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound business decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
