Director of Accounting

Our client, a holding company for industry leading utility service contractors, supporting installation of telecom, electric power, and natural gas infrastructure throughout the mountain west. They are urgently seeking a Director of Accounting to provide leadership and unify Corporate level Controllers in their multiple division offices.

This position will work closely with the finance and operations teams to strive for continuous and operational improvement. The right individual will have leadership qualities and the ability to recognize and grow talent.

Qualifications/ Skills:

• Will require some travel (about 30%)
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong and effective leader with excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Hands on team oriented approach

Education/ Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance, MBA is a bonus
• CPA required with demonstrated experience in public accounting
• 2+ yrs audit experience
• 2+ yrs in a financial leadership role
• Strong background in ERP systems (prefer Vista) and data extraction from databases
