As they continue to scale, they are looking for a Director of Accounting to play a key role in their finance team and help drive financial excellence in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
This is a newly created position where you will serve as a key point person on all accounting-related matters, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. While this is a hands-on accounting role, you will also oversee a Staff Accountant responsible for general ledger accounting, accounts payable (A/P), and accounts receivable (A/R). This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and wants to make a meaningful impact by building and optimizing financial processes.

Job Details
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required
4-7 years of accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role (preferred)
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Public accounting experience is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with general ledger and accounting systems (QuickBooks experience is a plus)
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
Highly Preferred: Candidates based in the Denver metro area
