We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Accounting to lead our financial team. This is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing all accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of financial regulations and accounting processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our company's financial strategy and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and development.
3. Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
4. Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
5. Work closely with the CFO to develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
6. Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
7. Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit, providing all necessary information and responding to audit findings.
8. Implement and maintain financial systems and software, ensuring data integrity and security.
9. Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively addressing any impact on the business.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Proficient in accounting software including MS Dynamics, Epicor, SAP, and Netsuite.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory standards.
5. Proven leadership skills with an ability to motivate and guide a team.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
9. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
10. Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
