Job Details

Financial Reporting
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP; extensive multi-entity general ledger and financial statement preparation skills including consolidations, with willingness to do in depth work with source documents and ledgers
  • Develop and present comprehensive financial reports to executive leadership, identifying key trends and areas for improvement
  • Ensure timely and accurate close - review and approve all balance sheet accounts, including monthly bank reconciliation and general ledger account reconciliations.


Team Leadership
  • Participate in and build a high performing accounting team, fostering a collaborative and results - oriented culture
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members


Audit and Taxation
  • Coordinate and manage external financial audit, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process and timeline delivery
  • Support tax return preparation process


Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting principles and industry standards
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks and safeguard company assets


Financial Operations
  • Management of or interaction with day to day financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities
  • Support technical administration of various financial systems
  • Continuously assess and optimize financial processes for efficiency and accuracy


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA certification preferred
  • Proven experience (8+ years including public accounting experience) in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, with a background in technology or start-up environments
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting - experience with multi-subsidiary LLCs and equity investment accounting a plus
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high performing team
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills
  • Highly organized, inquisitive, resourceful, self-motivated and independent
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to overall business strategy
  • Strong professional references
  • Proficiency in back-end administration of systems, namely ERP (Intacct), AP Automation (Tipalti), Expense (Concur) systems
