Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Oversee all core accounting functions, including general ledger, billing, receivables, payables, fixed assets, and trust accounting
- Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and process efficiency across the accounting function
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, payroll, and tax filings
- Lead preparation for audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Maintain and enhance accounting systems and procedural documentation
- Partner closely with firm leadership on financial strategy and analysis
- Contribute to the development of internal policies and accounting best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior leadership required
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting
- Professional services or law firm experience required
- Familiarity with Aderant software a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling complex financial scenarios
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; high integrity a must
