Job Details
We are looking for a leader capable of helping run the practice alongside ownership.
The ideal candidate possesses the technical expertise to guide architects and project managers, the leadership skills to manage teams and project delivery, and the client-facing presence necessary to work directly with high-net-worth homeowners.
This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to ownership while helping shape the future direction of the firm.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Serve as a senior technical resource for architectural staff
Provide guidance related to constructability, detailing, materials, building systems, and project execution
Lead quality assurance and design reviews
Support project teams in resolving complex design and construction challenges
Maintain design excellence throughout all project phases
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor Architects, Project Managers, and Designers
Balance workloads and staffing resources across multiple projects
Establish accountability and performance standards
Support recruiting, training, and professional development initiatives
Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture
Client Leadership
Serve as a senior representative of the firm with clients and project stakeholders
Participate in design presentations and strategic planning meetings
Guide clients through complex design and construction decisions
Maintain exceptional client service throughout project delivery
Business Development
Develop relationships with builders, consultants, and referral partners
Support project pursuits and proposal efforts
Participate in networking and industry events
Help identify opportunities for strategic growth
Practice Operations
Partner with ownership on firm operations and long-term planning
Help establish systems, processes, and best practices
Drive project delivery consistency and operational excellence
Contribute to staffing, forecasting, and business planning initiatives
Qualifications
Licensed Architect preferred
15+ years of architectural experience
Experience leading architectural teams and project delivery
Strong knowledge of luxury residential architecture and custom home construction
Deep understanding of building systems, materials, constructability, and detailing
Proven leadership and mentoring experience
Experience working directly with high-net-worth clientele
Business development and relationship-building capabilities
Advanced Revit proficiency
Excellent communication and presentation skills
