Job Details

Position Overview: The Director of Asset Management will oversee the comprehensive asset management of a 10-property commercial portfolio, with a focus on retail and industrial assets across 5 metropolitan areas across the east coast. Reporting to the Managing Principal, this role is responsible for maintaining occupancy, driving leasing strategies, coordinating facilities management, and implementing capital expenditure (Capex) planning and execution. The Director will also manage 3rd party property managers and other partners.

Day to Day Responisibilities:
  • Leasing Strategy: Oversee and manage external leasing brokers. Develop leasing strategies and maintain high occupancy within each property. Ensure leasing terms align with portfolio goals
  • Facilities Management: Coordinate maintenance and repairs via property management partners. Ensure high quality and timely maintenance standards
  • Capex Planning: Manage capital expenditure plans for improvements, value-add initiatives, etc. Project Manage these initiatives during execution
  • Portfolio Oversight: Visit each property quarterly to meet with vendors, ensure strategic alignment, and assess quality of service and maintenance
  • Reporting: Create both internal and external reports for each market and property to help inform business decisions
  • Vendor Management: Set metrics for all vendors and schedule regular reporting and meetings / calls to ensure performance, quality, and strategic alignment
  • Work with other departments to provide insights on portfolio performance and trends to inform business decisions across the company
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years commercial real estate experience
  • Experience with retail and industrial properties and tenants
  • Experience managing multiple markets'
  • Ability to manage 3rd party vendors
  • Reporting expertise
  • Comfortable with 25% travel
  • Real Estate Software knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MRI
  • CPM / RPA / CCIM certifications
