We are seeking an executive level leader in the building design/MEP space to oversee our team of engineers (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire)

Job Details

Responsibilities
Lead the development of strategic short- and long-term plans, annual operating budgets, and share responsibility for performance outcomes.

Drive achievement of revenue, profit, and company-wide objectives.

Define and refine key operational KPIs that impact profitability, ensuring accountability and performance tracking.

Foster and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their business models and delivering tailored solutions.

Provide strategic guidance to the leadership team; collaborate with Managing Partners to share knowledge and promote cross-selling of services.

Partner with the Director of Business Development to support sales efforts, including proposals, contract negotiations, project closures, and client relationship management.

Work with Marketing and Business Development to set goals and prepare long-range forecasts.

Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance work environment. Lead recruitment and retention of top technical and project management talent.

Identify and mentor high-performing staff, providing clear career development and advancement paths.

Ensure transparent communication with staff regarding operational goals, performance expectations, and organizational updates.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and active Professional Engineering (PE) license required.

Minimum of 15 years’ industry experience with demonstrated success in both design and project management.

Experience in one or more of the following sectors preferred: Commercial Development, Multifamily, Life Sciences, Education (public/private), and Corporate Facilities.

Strong technical engineering expertise combined with sound business and financial acumen.

Proven success in building client relationships, understanding client needs, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and foster positive employee relations across the organization.

Excellent organizational skills with a track record of hiring and developing skilled technical teams.

Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with strong multitasking and project management abilities.
